Latest product news from 52F Models.
Here at 52F models we continue to develop and add to our range of Easi-Rider chassis'. The latest addition is a chassis for the Lancaster Model Engineering NER Class 290, LNER/BR Class J77 loco kit currently available in EM gauge only but suitable for P4 modellers.

It features compensation on all six wheels, a custom drive unit, realistic brake gear and rigging that's completely removable, footplate supports that incorporate brake hanger pivot points, separately fitted guard irons and brake anchor points, 12-piece coupling rods with prototypical forked joint and a detailed firebox lower and ashpan. Ride qualities and appearance are a significant improvement on the etched brass rigid chassis supplied with the kit.
The chassis is available in EM gauge only but will be produced in OO gauge if there's enough definite interest to justify the cost of development. The EM version costs £46.50 inc P&P or £65.95 with Gibson wheel set and crank pins. Please make cheques payable to Peter Stanger.

In this shot we can see how closely the brakes are to the Gibson wheels, this adds to the realism of the model below the footplate. The production chassis has modified front and rear buffer beam supports that allows sprung buffers to be used. The model has been built to represent number 68408 as running in 1960 before it's withdrawal from South Blyth shed on the 27th of February 1961 afer a life of almost 86 years.
NER Class P1, LNER/BR Class J25 Loco and Tender Chassis. This kit is available now in EM gauge only.
Another recent addidtion to our range is a chassis to replace the rigid chassis on the Alexander Models NER Class P1, LNER/BR class J25 loco kit. The kit features compensation on all six driving wheels and the leading and middle tender axles. The chassis features significantly more detail than the original and the custom drive unit ensures smooth and reliable slow running. As with all the other chassis in the Easi-Rider range, the brake gear is completely removable to allow the wheels to be easily fitted and removed. The brake rigging is of particular interest being prototypical in appearance with individual pull rods, shackles and links being used in the assembly. Provision has been made for the use of Gibson plunger pickups so as not to detract from the prototypical appearance of the brake rigging.

Brake hanger profile is prototypical and allows the brake shoes to be in close proximity to the wheel rim without risking a short circuit. As with the loco the brake gear is completely removable to assist wheel fitting and removal. Price £55.00 including 1st class P&P . Gibson wheel sets for the loco chassis can be supplied at an addidtional £19.45 post free if ordered with the chassis kit. Please make all cheques payable to Peter Stanger.
